Do the Right Thing (Prime Video) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I was recently in Brooklyn, NY and experienced the Spike Lee: Creative Sources at the Brooklyn Museum (a must-see!) and admittedly had never seen a Spike Lee movie. This movie was fantastic - the imagery, the music, the message, the pace - incredible.

I have also now seen BlacKkKlansman (Peacock) by Spike Lee and it gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ as well.
BLACKkKLANSMAN - Official Trailer [HD]
Saltburn (Prime Video) ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The decadence and visual escapism kept me around, but the predictable storyline and overtly sexual scenes turned me all the way off. It felt played out - provocative for provocativeness sake. Salaciousness without the substance and depth to make an impact. It could have been so much more.
Abstract: The Art of Design (Netflix) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I have seen two episodes so far - "Olafur Eliasson: The Design of Art" which showcases his beautiful entanglement of art and architecture and "Ruth Carter: Costume Design" which illustrates her stories told via costumes and happens to include collaborations on Spike Lee movies.
Poor Things (in theaters): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I want to give this movie 10 stars! Mind bending, mind blowing, mind expanding. I loved every second and wanted to start it over from the beginning as soon as it ended.

Down the Drain by Julia Fox ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - This book took me all the way out of my reading slump. Julia has a way with writing that sucks you in and takes you along for the ride. I forgot that I was reading and looked up hours after I began, only wanting to continue. It is very easy to visualize myself running right along with her on all of her adventures (or misadventures) - through Italy, New York, Miami, New Orleans, and beyond. A movie adaptation of this would be EPIC, and I hope Julia has a chance to create that visual experience, should she wish.

Hi! 😊 Don't know if you might be interested but I love to write about sustainability (fashion, travel and our relationship with clothes). I'm a thrift shopping and vintage clothing lover who likes to explore the impact textile industry and consumistic culture have on the environment and also what people can do to shift the tendency.
